About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Crimes Due Diligence Consultant within the Corporate Politically Exposed Person (PEP) Team. In this role, you will participate in conducting due diligence programs on moderately complex initiatives, support business execution of due diligence reporting processes, and collaborate with peers and stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Responsibilities

  • Make determinations on PEP status, assess PEP risk levels, and understand complex PEP customers and networks while documenting rationale.
  • Drive successful results and continual process improvement.
  • Provide support to interpret policies, guidelines, and governance programs.
  • Review and analyze PEP processes or challenges requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives.
  • Exercise independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables.
  • Aggregate, evaluate, and report results, escalating where necessary.
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and develop expertise in PEP function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Support business in execution of due diligence reporting processes and controls.
  • Review and analyze client onboarding processes and challenges requiring research, investigation, evaluation, and selection of alternatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on documentation and data sources, exercising independent judgment for moderate to high-risk deliverables.
  • Compile and evaluate report results, escalating when necessary.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead the team to meet functional area process deliverables.
  • Leverage a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers, and internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Due Diligence experience, or equivalent (including risk management, client service, operations support, or business process management) demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of BSA/AML experience.
  • Experience supporting a Political Exposed Persons (PEP) program by making determinations on PEP status and assessing PEP risk.
  • Experience conducting Financial Crimes-related research, analyzing results, and summarizing findings clearly and concisely.
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing PEP-related World Check and World Compliance reports.
  • BS/BA degree or higher.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify, cross-reference, and articulate ambiguous information and act accordingly.
  • Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Operates independently with minimal supervision and effectively manages work requests to meet performance expectations.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both a conceptual and detailed level.
  • Proven experience building partnerships, collaborating, and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and maintain momentum, driving for results and clarity in uncertain situations.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $133,000.00. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
