Senior DSP/Firmware Engineer

About the role
Conceptualize, design, and develop firmware for DSP-based digital control systems used in programmable AC & DC power products. Implement digital control algorithms, perform design analysis (e.g., gain/phase plots), and document results. Create and execute test plans to validate performance and develop bootloaders for DSPs and microcontrollers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration with hardware and system-level design.
Responsibilities
- Develop firmware for DSP-based digital control systems in programmable AC & DC power products
- Implement digital control algorithms and perform design analysis (e.g., gain/phase plots)
- Document design and analysis results
- Create and execute test plans to validate performance
- Develop bootloaders for DSPs and microcontrollers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration with hardware and system-level design
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- 8 years of experience developing power control for power supply applications, including DC-DC converters, PFC systems, and grid-tied inverters
- Experience with power electronics converter topologies, including AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC systems
- Proficiency in Embedded C and Assembly language programming for real-time embedded systems
- Experience with control peripherals, including ADCs, PWMs, and DACs
- 6 years of experience with communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, and CAN)
Pay
Salary range: $155,000 – $180,000 USD (salaried position). The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market/business considerations, and geographic location.
