Senior Director-Systems Integration - Power Generation
Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept and requirements definition through design, verification, execution, commissioning, and operations.
- Develop and maintain technical plans, requirements baselines, system breakdown structures, interface definitions, verification plans, and decision records.
- Work with business leaders, engineers, project managers, operations teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to translate needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Facilitate requirements analysis, functional decomposition, design synthesis, technical reviews, risk assessments, and trade studies.
- Establish traceability between customer needs, operational requirements, system designs, test/verification evidence, and final deliverables.
- Carefully coordinate integration across multiple teams and disciplines to ensure dependencies, interfaces, and technical assumptions are understood and managed.
- Support configuration management, change control, technical documentation, and governance processes.
- Develop measures of effectiveness, measures of performance, and technical performance indicators to track solution maturity and readiness.
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies that balance cost, schedule, performance, reliability, supportability, and long-term value.
- Help build scalable systems engineering standards, processes, and tools for a growing organization.
Qualifications
- Experience in systems engineering, engineering management, technical program management, integration, operations, infrastructure, technology, logistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical information and translate it into clear requirements, plans, risks, and decisions.
- Strong understanding of lifecycle planning, requirements management, verification, risk management, interface management, or configuration management.
- Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and align stakeholders with different priorities.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a new role where processes may need to be created, refined, and adopted across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, systems engineering, business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, project management or combination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or managing Systems Engineering Management Plans, technical baselines, verification matrices, system architectures, or integrated schedules.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, lifecycle management, operational readiness, quality systems, or reliability/supportability practices.
- Experience with complex infrastructure, industrial operations, software-enabled systems, logistics, energy, utilities, or regulated environments.
- INCOSE certification, PMP, or related professional certification is a plus.
