About the role
The Senior Director, Strategy – Brand & Creative leads the Brand Strategy discipline within Monks, a global, digital-first, data-driven agency specializing in Marketing and Technology Services. The ideal candidate is passionate about building breakthrough brands, developing bold strategic thinking, and creating impactful work that moves businesses and culture forward.
Responsibilities
Lead development of foundational brand strategy, architecture, and positioning for a tech giant across its full product portfolio, ensuring consistency, clarity, and relevance globally.
Drive the strategic vision for high-stakes campaigns, including Super Bowl spots, Olympics moments, global product launches, and major repositionings.
Be the right hand to Group Creative Directors, writing provocative and inspiring briefs and staying deeply engaged throughout the creative process.
Build and maintain a global brand platform that translates into integrated campaigns, digital experiences, product launches, and customer touchpoints.
Mentor and manage a team of brand strategists, fostering an environment of rigorous thinking, creativity, collaboration, and curiosity.
Build and maintain relationships with senior marketing leaders, facilitating strategic conversations, presenting recommendations, and influencing key business decisions.
Collaborate closely with media, data, and AI teams to ensure the brand platform translates into a full-funnel consumer experience.
Requirements
12+ years in Brand Planning or Creative Strategy at a top agency, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Direct experience on high-profile, high-stakes campaigns such as Super Bowl, Olympics, global product launches, or equivalent moments where the whole world is watching.
Ability to take complex data and research and turn it into a simple, compelling idea that a creative team is excited to run with.
Track record of building and leading high-performing strategy teams.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role varies by geographic location. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, interview assessment, skills, geographic location, and internal equity.
Schedule
This role is subject to Monks' Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.
