Senior Director, Strategy
Description
As Sr Director of Business Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be a strategic leader advancing growth and innovation across our enterprise. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term strategies, and establishing critical partnerships. You will work directly with senior leadership to identify and develop market opportunities, lead M&A initiatives, and contribute to the strategic direction of the business. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will develop and execute comprehensive business plans while building strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
Requirements
- Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in business development, strategy, or similar role within life sciences, diagnostics, or medical device industries
- Preferred Fields of Study: business, life sciences, or related field
- Demonstrated success in M&A, partnerships, and complex deal execution
- Strong expertise in developing and implementing long-term business strategies
- Proven ability to guide strategic planning processes and support business growth initiatives
- Experience working with cross-functional global teams and building consensus
- Advanced financial modeling and analysis capabilities
- Strong presentation and relationship-building skills at senior levels
- Deep understanding of R&D, Marketing, and Sales in global markets
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Able to travel up to 40% internationally
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience in management consulting or investment banking preferred
- Demonstrated success in talent development and team leadership
- Proficiency in analyzing market trends and competitive landscapes
- Strong business acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
Pay
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $192,700.00–$285,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
