Senior Director, Revenue Accounting

This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a technology-driven environment.

Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global Revenue Accounting organization to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Own the accounting for all revenue streams, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Direct the revenue close process, including reconciliations and SEC reporting support
  • Collaborate with leaders across departments to evaluate new products and initiatives
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on revenue recognition for the company
  • Drive continuous improvement of revenue accounting processes and internal controls
  • Identify and implement AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
  • Experience in revenue accounting under ASC 606
  • Public company experience with SEC reporting requirements
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across multiple functions
  • Proven experience leading large accounting organizations through growth and change
  • Track record of driving process transformation through automation and AI

Pay

$224,000 – $358,000 annually
