Senior Director R&D

Responsibilities

• Defining, implementing and/or maintaining R&D strategy, guidelines, systems and services for VISHAY
• Alligning and ensuring implementation of R&D budgets
• Monitoring R&D programs and allocating resources
• Planning and coordinating, and/or implementing R&D projects and processes
• Leading identification and consolidation of R&D projects in line with technological trends and development plans
• Coordinating research, development, and pre-industrialization of products
• Representing VISHAY's R&D competence externally towards customers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

• Implements overarching research strategy
• Designs specific scientific or technical research programs and projects
• Plans and allocates budgets and resources
• Makes proposals for institutes or universities for research cooperation
• Manages agreed projects and evaluates progress
• Allocates investments agreed for personnel, equipment, technologies or tools needed to implement in order to achieve targets
