Senior Director, Proposal Development

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Proposal Development to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. This role will drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. The position offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $148,000 – $274,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee business development strategies
• Provide strategic input on pursuit success probability and ROI
• Direct departmental strategic plans and opportunity analyses
• Oversee RFP analytical reviews to capture operational requirements
• Drive planning and kickoff meetings to establish win themes and risks
• Create project control documents for proposal development
• Ensure proposal consistency and clarify functional ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 8+ years of combined proposal management and/or business development experience
• Experience in managed health care or behavioral health organizations
• Prior management experience overseeing hiring, training, and performance management of staff
• Strong analytical and communication skills
