Senior Director, Product Marketing – Industrial and Commercial Sensing Division
Position Summary
The Senior Director, Product Marketing will own ICSD product marketing strategy and execution. This includes product line strategy, roadmap direction, market segmentation, competitive positioning, demand creation priorities, channel strategy, and business growth plans.
Responsibilities
Lead ICSD product marketing strategy, including product line direction, portfolio priorities, roadmap inputs, market segmentation, customer targeting, demand creation priorities, channel strategy, and business growth plans.
Define and maintain industrial and commercial sensing product roadmaps in partnership with product definition, engineering, applications, sales, channel, ecosystem partners, and business leadership.
Develop go-to-market strategies for new products, product family refreshes, reference platforms, and strategic customer engagements, including positioning, launch priorities, sales enablement, channel enablement, and design-win support.
Translate industrial OEM, commercial, distribution, ecosystem, aerospace and defense, and edge sensing requirements into clear product, feature, performance, cost, schedule, and business priorities.
Assess market trends, competitive positioning, customer adoption, funnel quality, design-in activity, design-win performance, revenue potential, margin impact, and product lifecycle performance to guide portfolio decisions.
Provide pricing guidance, commercial positioning, delivery condition input, competitive analysis, and customer engagement recommendations aligned with ICSD business objectives.
Partner with sales, distribution, and field teams to support strategic customer engagements, application fit assessments, customer presentations, roadmap discussions, and design-win execution.
Lead product launch readiness across product marketing, sales, distribution, applications, ecosystem partners, corporate marketing, communications, operations, and customer-facing teams.
Drive creation of product collateral, technical product briefs, application notes, white papers, reference platform messaging, sales tools, launch content, training material, customer-facing messaging, and competitive positioning material.
Train and update sales, distribution, and customer-facing teams on ICSD product strategy, product roadmaps, positioning, differentiation, tools, collateral, and target applications.
Support the annual business planning process by providing market data, portfolio analysis, customer input, roadmap recommendations, NPI priorities, channel execution assumptions, investment priorities, and product line growth assumptions.
Identify enabling technologies, intellectual property, external partnerships, ecosystem capabilities, reference solutions, or roadmap gaps that could improve ICSD competitiveness in machine vision, robotics, video collaboration, security, scanning, SWIR, iToF, aerospace and defense, intelligent edge markets.
Build strong working relationships with strategic industrial OEMs, commercial customers, distribution customers, aerospace and defense customers, ecosystem partners, and internal stakeholders to improve customer intimacy and roadmap relevance.
Establish a clear operating cadence for product marketing reviews, roadmap alignment, launch planning, competitive reviews, channel execution reviews, and customer engagement priorities.
Lead, develop, and mentor product marketing talent, building a stronger product marketing function with clear ownership, business discipline, customer focus, and measurable demand creation impact.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related technical or commercial field.
12+ years of experience in semiconductor product marketing, product management, business management, technical marketing, or related product leadership roles.
Experience with industrial and commercial semiconductors, CMOS image sensors, machine vision, robotics, video collaboration, security, scanning, SWIR, iToF, aerospace and defense, intelligent edge, or related sensing technologies.
Demonstrated experience defining product strategy, product roadmaps, market positioning, go-to-market plans, demand creation priorities, and customer-facing product messaging.
Strong understanding of industrial OEM, commercial, distribution, ecosystem, aerospace and defense, and channel customer needs, semiconductor design-in cycles, application requirements, qualification expectations, and market dynamics.
Ability to work effectively across product definition, engineering, applications, ecosystem, sales, distribution, operations, quality, finance, and executive stakeholders in a matrixed global environment.
Strong analytical capability to evaluate markets, customers, competition, funnel quality, design-win performance, revenue, margin, channel execution, and product line health.
Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with the ability to present clearly to customers, sales teams, distribution partners, engineering teams, and senior executives.
