The Senior Director, Product Management – Autoimmune (Specialty Medicine) role sits within Labcorp's highly specialized Specialty Medicine portfolio and is responsible for leading the Autoimmune portfolio as a unified diagnostic category. This role requires deep domain expertise and the ability to drive strategy across a complex, multi-product landscape.
Responsibilities
Owns strategy and lifecycle performance for a multi-product line autoimmune portfolio.
Drives enterprise-level decision-making across investment priorities, roadmap, and growth strategy.
Influences senior stakeholders across R&D, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial teams without direct authority.
Shapes clinical positioning, evidence strategy, and market differentiation across disease states.
Establishes the vision for the autoimmune portfolio, defining long-term strategy, investment prioritization, and innovation roadmap aligned to enterprise objectives.
Learns and integrates scientific, clinical, regulatory, and market dynamics into cohesive portfolio strategies that inform executive decision-making.
Owes end-to-end portfolio lifecycle management, including roadmap, forecasting, pricing, and margin optimization across multiple offerings.
Learns and leads cross-functional alignment at scale, influencing execution across Medical, R&D, Operations, Market Access, and Commercial.
Applies deep clinical expertise to identify unmet needs and translate them into strategic innovation and market opportunities.
Develops enterprise-level business cases, including market modeling, investment trade-offs, and long-term value creation.
Acts as a senior strategic advisor and spokesperson, influencing executive stakeholders and governance forums.
Identifies and advances strategic partnerships, licensing, or acquisition opportunities to expand capabilities.
Ensures end-to-end commercialization readiness, including launch excellence, scaling, and integration of new capabilities.
Partners with Marketing and Medical to elevate thought leadership and clinical authority in autoimmune diagnostics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
12 or more years of experience in product management, portfolio strategy, or life sciences research.
10 or more years of experience in diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
An advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, PhD, or MD).
5 or more years experience in autoimmune disease states and specialty diagnostics.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-product line portfolios or diagnostic categories.
Proven ability to lead enterprise-level initiatives and influence senior stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
Experience with diagnostic ecosystems, including regulatory, reimbursement, and guideline frameworks.
Proven track record shaping clinical positioning, evidence strategies, and market adoption.
Experience identifying and evaluating innovation, partnerships, or M&A opportunities.

Additional Job Standards
Resides in New York City, NY; Tampa, FL; Houston/Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Raritan, NJ; or Durham/Burlington, NC, located near a Labcorp hub.
Eligible for a hybrid schedule, which includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location—either Burlington or Durham—supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
Pay Range
$170,000 - $190,000 annually + annual bonus and equity eligibility.
Schedule
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers. Compensation may also include discretionary short- and long-term incentive packages.
