Senior Director, Product Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Product Management based in the United States. This is a senior leadership role at the intersection of platform strategy, product execution, and organizational influence within a fast-scaling, AI-driven commerce ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision for foundational platform products powering analytics, search, authentication, billing, and enterprise data systems across multiple interconnected business units, including BigCommerce, Feedonomics, and Makeswift.
• Own end-to-end product lifecycles, including P&L accountability, roadmap definition, and cross-functional execution at scale.
• Act as both strategist and operator, partnering closely with engineering, data, and go-to-market teams to deliver platform capabilities used across global commerce products.
• Operate as a key voice in executive forums, shaping enterprise-wide priorities and investment decisions.
• Mentor and develop product management talent while promoting AI-driven and modern product practices.

Requirements

• Deep experience leading complex platform product organizations with strong technical and strategic capability.
• 12+ years of product management experience, including senior leadership roles across multi-domain portfolios.
• Proven track record of owning product P&L and delivering measurable business outcomes at scale.
• Strong technical fluency in APIs, data pipelines, search systems, authentication, and billing/entitlement platforms.
• Experience building enterprise or platform products used by internal teams and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to define strategy, prioritize tradeoffs, and execute across large cross-functional teams.
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics clearly.
• Experience building governance structures, operating models, and KPI frameworks.
• Background in SaaS, e-commerce, or platform technology strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with AI tools and modern product development workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow product talent across organizations.
