Own the paid media engine for a $1Billion+ brand. Decide what to launch and where the budget goes.

About the role

Puffy, a market-leading, nine-figure D2C brand and Top 5 US mattress brand with over $1 billion in sales, is hiring a Senior Director of Performance Marketing to own a multi-million-dollar monthly paid media engine across Google and Meta. You will have full authority over systems, measurement, creative testing, capital allocation, and team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role exists to convert a multi-million-dollar paid budget into maximum contribution margin, building the decision systems, measurement infrastructure, and team that let the revenue engine run and scale without day-to-day executive involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Decide what to launch and where the budget goes: manage a multi-million-dollar monthly budget across Google and Meta, including brand and non-brand search, PMax, Meta prospecting and retargeting, Shopping, and feed.
  • Design and document the rules governing spend, including when to pause, increase budget, or pull back, ensuring the system runs without day-to-day executive oversight.
  • Build pause/hold/scale logic, budget guardrails, and escalation protocols from scratch.
  • Deploy incrementality testing and reconcile platform attribution against backend reality.
  • Architect the creative engine as a system: concept pipeline, testing taxonomy, briefs, hook/hold analytics, UGC, and whitelisting.
  • Design capital allocation on marginal return rather than platform-reported averages.
  • Design promo architecture across the retail calendar: pulse strategy, financing offers, funnel alignment.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot paid channels beyond Google and Meta.
  • Structure the performance marketing function itself, including org design and team leadership.
  • Hold profitability to a contribution-margin standard after returns and financing costs, not ROAS in isolation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in performance marketing with sustained ownership of $1M+/month on both Google and Meta (concurrently or across roles). "Ownership" means authority over strategy, structure, and budget, not just execution.
  • Google depth at PMax-era: campaign structure, feed management, brand/non-brand economics.
  • High-AOV considered-purchase experience ($1,000+ order values): sparse-conversion, long-decision-cycle categories.
  • Personally built, not inherited, bid, budget, and pause decision systems at scale. You'll be asked to present a playbook you authored.
  • Statistical decision literacy: volume gating, false-kill vs. wasted-spend trade-offs, threshold derivation, incrementality test design.
  • Creative testing systems at scale in a post-ATT environment: concept-vs-variation discipline, creative analytics.
  • Team leadership including senior direct reports. Experience building or restructuring a performance marketing function.
  • Structured approach to new channel evaluation: selection frameworks, pilot design, budget allocation, and kill criteria.

Nice to have

  • Scripting against Meta/Google APIs; Google Ads Scripts.
  • Mixed agency + in-house background.
  • Experience with emerging paid channels (e.g., TikTok, Connected TV, affiliate/partnerships, etc.).
  • D2C e-commerce background in home goods, furniture, or comparable high-AOV verticals.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (based on country of hire).
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) + Public holidays.
  • AI-First organization with access to AI-native tool stack.
  • Remote First: Work from anywhere in the world with meaningful time zone overlap.
  • Learning & development opportunities.
  • International team collaboration across 16+ nationalities.
  • Eligibility for selection to the Leaders Club, an elite recognition program featuring premium wellness memberships, exclusive networking with senior leadership, and annual leadership retreats.
  • Eligibility for nomination as 'We Are' Champion of the Month, with monthly recognition including gift vouchers and company-wide celebration for exceptional contributions.

Pay

Total Annual Package: Up to USD $240,000 + comprehensive benefits (Base salary + monthly performance bonus of up to 20% of base). Annual salary review every January.

Schedule

Remote (Global). Work from anywhere in the world with meaningful time zone overlap. Structure your environment around your best thinking, whether that's a home office, a co-working space, or our Dubai headquarters (with full relocation, visa support, and 0% income tax if you choose).
