Director of Performance Marketing (Remote)
About the role
You'll own and build Takeoff's paid media practice. This is the senior seat on the function: you set the strategy, define the campaigns, own the client relationships, and shape how we scale paid media for our B2B clients. Direct access to leadership, real influence on how the practice develops, none of the holding-company bureaucracy.
Responsibilities
- Own paid media strategy end to end for a portfolio of B2B clients across Google Ads and LinkedIn
- Define the campaign strategy: the angles, offers, and creative concepts that make ads work, then brief our designers to bring them to life
- Lead client relationships, run strategy calls, and build the confidence that drives retention and expansion
- Set the standards, SOPs, and playbooks for how Takeoff runs paid media
- Partner with our SEO, web, and creative teams to deliver integrated programs
- Help us scale: as we sign accounts, shape the team and processes that support them
Requirements
- 7+ years in paid media at a B2B agency, with real ownership of client accounts
- Strong account management: you build trusted relationships and drive retention and expansion
- Creative and strategic thinking: you generate campaign ideas and angles, not just execute briefs
- Excellent project management and self-organization: you run your accounts without being managed
- Hands-on expertise in Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- A real understanding of B2B buyer journeys
Qualifications
- Nice-to-haves: Offline conversion tracking, CRM integration, and value-based bidding
- Experience building SOPs and systematizing a function
- Meta and programmatic experience
- Experience mentoring or leading other marketers
