About the role
The Senior Director, Patient Support Solutions will lead the strategic development, implementation, and management of comprehensive patient support initiatives, and best in class patient-centric support services. This includes programs for access, affordability, initiation, and field-facing teams. The role requires a commitment to expanding the company’s offerings to meet the diverse needs of patients, with a focus on alternative pay models. The Senior Director will champion a patient-first culture, advocate for patient needs and perspectives, and develop, design, and implement services and programs that prioritize patient-centric solutions.
Essential Functions
- Lead strategy, vision, and roadmap development for best-in-class patient support services, inclusive of programs for access, affordability, initiation, and field-facing teams.
- Manage the strategic vision and implementation of NovoCare Pharmacy, committing to drive expansion of Company’s offerings to meet diverse patient needs, with options for alternative pay models.
- Champion a patient-first culture, advocating for the needs and perspectives of patients, and developing, designing, and implementing services and programs that prioritize patient-centric solutions.
- Create and maintain strong business-relevant relationships with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on executive-level decision-makers and influencers.
- Execute PSS solutions against well-defined and understood metrics, creating a frictionless patient and provider experience for the entire journey, delivering based on needs and channels.
- Ensure execution excellence and continuous improvement of solutions for patient access, affordability, and adherence, delivering solutions that drive a better patient experience with measurable impact.
- Develop both standardization and adaptability into PSS solutions for efficient implementation and scaling based on changes to the Novo Nordisk portfolio, integrated with the strategy and execution of product commercialization.
- Leverage advanced technologies (such as automation and AI) that increase efficiency, lower total cost of ownership, and drive NNI differentiation in prioritized key markets.
- Drive excellence in enterprise compliance, ensuring full compliance with federal and state requirements and timely reporting.
- Anticipate trends and changes to the market that could influence patient support services strategy and/or roadmap.
- Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Market Access, Sales, and other key internal and external partners through goal alignment, role clarity, end-to-end accountability, and robust governance processes.
- Supervise reporting personnel, ensuring individual development plans (IDPs) are in place, and manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and the Novo Nordisk Way.
