For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Patient Advocacy to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will shape and lead the patient advocacy and engagement strategy for a global organization focused on advancing medicines and patient outcomes. You will build trusted relationships with patient communities and external advocacy organizations while ensuring the patient voice informs research, clinical development, and enterprise decision-making. This is a highly cross-functional leadership position requiring strong influence, operational discipline, and a deep commitment to patient-centric execution. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $166,500 – $266,200 annually Responsibilities Build and lead the patient advocacy and engagement function, including strategy and external engagement frameworks Establish and cultivate relationships with patient advocacy organizations and communities Develop processes to integrate patient insights into research and clinical development Create and execute initiatives for disease awareness and patient education Drive a strategic approach for incorporating the patient voice into enterprise decision-making Advance cross-functional collaboration to embed a patient-centric culture Identify opportunities that align with patient and organizational goals Establish metrics and reporting processes to measure advocacy impact Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, such as MPH, MHA, PharmD, PhD, or MD Minimum 10 years of experience in patient advocacy, patient engagement, or related biotechnology or pharmaceutical functions Demonstrated success in building or expanding patient advocacy capabilities, programs, or functions Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive alignment in complex environments Experience developing patient education programs and disease awareness initiatives Knowledge of compliance requirements related to advocacy engagement and patient-facing activities Preferred experience in rare diseases, neurology, or CNS in pre-commercial organizations Benefits Company-sponsored 401(k); pension Vacation benefits Eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits Flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care Life insurance and death benefits Various leave of absence benefits Employee well-being programs, including assistance and fitness benefits Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
