Responsibilities

  • Translate WMS and Transportation business objectives into scalable processes, standards, and system capabilities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on current and future-state warehouse management and transportation capabilities across the network.
  • Own and maintain the enterprise warehouse and transportation technology roadmap, including WMS, TMS, manifesting, final mile, control tower, integrations, analytics and enabling tools.
  • Define multi-year capability sequencing aligned to operations/transportation strategy, service requirements, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritize warehouse and transportation technology investments in partnership with Operations, IT, Finance, and Transformation.
  • Ensure roadmap decisions balance near-term operational stability with long-term modernization and scalability.
  • Govern warehouse and transportation technology standards, architectural alignment, and technical debt remediation across the network.
  • Ensure warehouse and transportation systems and processes support real-time execution needs, exception management, and operational decision-making.
  • Enable warehouse and transportation and warehouse performance management across service, cost, and compliance dimensions.
  • Maintain regular engagement with field warehouse and transportation teams to ensure solutions are practical, adopted, and execution-ready.
  • Incorporate field feedback into warehouse and transportation and warehouse process, system, and roadmap decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - Business, MIS, Supply Chain or related field required.
  • Master's Degree - Business Administration, Information Systems or related field preferred.
  • 12 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, transportation, operations technology, or related leadership roles.
  • 5 years enterprise experience implementing warehouse management, transportation, or supply chain technology solutions, or leading large-scale business integration efforts.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience supporting or influencing warehouse and transportation and warehousing execution in a live operating environment alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance operational urgency with longer-term process and technology improvements.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse management, transportation technologies, and execution concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and transportation processes including fulfillment, inventory flow, labor execution, planning, carrier management, execution, and settlement.
  • Experience leading the full lifecycle of operations technology solutions, from business requirements through testing, deployment, and operational stabilization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Experience supporting or influencing operations financial outcomes, including carrier spend, cost-to-serve.
  • Familiarity with multiple transportation modes (TL, LTL, intermodal, parcel, international).
  • Strong experience with warehouse and transportation analytics, performance dashboards, and executive reporting.
  • Experience with automation, optimization, and advanced warehouse/transportation technologies.
  • Leverage M365 tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Forms) to scale Transportation workflows and governance.

Compensation

$164,391 - $287,684 Annually

This role owns the warehouse/transportation management and technology roadmap, ensuring capabilities, investments, and sequencing are aligned to transportation strategy, operational priorities, and long-term network scalability. Accountable for operating at the intersection of warehouse operations, transportation, technology, and business strategy, translating objectives into standardized operating models, system capabilities, and governance across all modes and regions.
