Senior Director - Operations

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director - Operations to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This leader will oversee site operations and guide performance in a manufacturing environment with growing demand and complex product requirements. The role is responsible for aligning operational strategy with execution, building a high-performing team, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive results. A strong focus on continuous improvement, lean practices, safety, and financial discipline will be central to success. Location: Cortland, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Drive site performance to meet increasing demand in the semiconductor industry
• Build and empower a skilled team to address complex product manufacturing needs
• Negotiate delivery expectations with internal and external business leaders
• Implement lean tools and continuous improvement concepts to strengthen operations
• Translate operational strategy into actionable goals for the leadership team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing
• Advanced degree or certifications in manufacturing operations preferred
• Strong grasp of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies
• Experience integrating production planning, quality management, and other manufacturing functions
• Proven ability to foster a strong safety culture with measurable improvements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in unionized settings
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to connect operational decisions to business outcomes

Pay

Compensation: $220,000 – $250,000 annually
