About the role

The Senior Director of the Institute for Engagement, Mission and Impact (EMI) serves as the College's primary steward of mission integration, providing leadership, consultation, and strategic direction to ensure Elizabethtown College’s mission and values are embedded throughout campus life, student development initiatives, co-curricular programs, and community engagement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and support for the staff, programs, centers, and offices that comprise the Institute for Engagement, Mission, and Impact, ensuring programs align with Institute goals, College mission, values and strategic plan.
  • Serve as the College's primary steward of mission integration, providing leadership, consultation, and strategic direction to ensure the institution's mission and values are embedded throughout campus life, student development initiatives, co-curricular programs, and community engagement efforts.
  • Ensure that Institute programs and units work collaboratively and cohesively in advancement of the College’s mission, values, motto, strategic plan, and commitment to educating students for lives of purpose, service, civic responsibility, and global citizenship.
  • Partner with Institutional Advancement, Enrollment Management and Financial Aid to oversee execution of scholarship agreements that fall within the purview of the Institute and explore new scholarship opportunities that include applicable Signature Learning Experiences rewarding student leadership, service and College values.
  • Engage in ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the Institute and the impact of Institute’s programs on students, the campus community, and external partners, to include quarterly progress reports and an annual report on outcomes, trends, participation, student learning, community impact, and opportunities for program improvement distributed to Senior Leadership and campus partners.
  • Communicate the values of peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and global understanding through enhanced marketing efforts, outreach to campus constituencies, and cross-unit collaborations.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree is required, plus 5-10 years of relevant experience.
