About the role
This position leads the Sales Planning function for Chobani’s National Grocery Sales team, ensuring alignment between sales strategy, demand planning, and supply chain execution to drive growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual sales planning process, including volume forecasting, promotional planning, and trade spend optimization for the National Grocery channel.
- Partner with Sales Leadership to translate business objectives into actionable sales plans, ensuring alignment with supply chain and finance teams.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to ensure accurate volume forecasts and inventory availability.
- Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
- Oversee the development and management of trade promotion budgets, ensuring ROI and alignment with corporate financial goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales planning processes, tools, and technologies to enhance accuracy and decision-making.
- Present sales plans, forecasts, and performance updates to senior leadership, providing strategic recommendations.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing Sales Planning team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in sales planning, demand planning, or related roles within the CPG industry, with a focus on grocery retail.
- Proven track record of leading sales planning functions, including volume forecasting, trade promotion management, and sales strategy execution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise planning tools (e.g., SAP, Anaplan, or similar).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
