Overview
MUST BE A LICENSED Speech, Physical, or Occupational Therapist with Director of Rehab backgrounds in SNF. This position is NOT remote-Must be able to travel to other sites and work out of one in the East Bay area.
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation services in assigned site(s) of service.
- Provides direct patient care.
- Makes sure the highest standard of rehabilitation services is given and kept up in all places.
- Operates the rehabilitation services of Powerback in the assigned site(s).
- Makes sure the staff gives high-quality care and follows the rules.
- Helps therapy staff find and remove problems that stop treatment and teaches them what they need to know.
- Takes responsibility for training and supporting the staff in their site, like checking in, giving advice, and teaching.
- Handles hiring therapy staff (with help from the Clinical Operations Area Director).
- Handles daily staffing and how much time people spend working.
- Manages money for the rehabilitation services.
- Checks on the rehabilitation department every month and talks about it with the facility's leaders.
- Helps the Clinical Operations Area Director make a plan for the next year.
- Helps the rehabilitation department give the best care using the right things and helps the staff get better.
- Helps the rehabilitation department talk to the facility's leaders and workers.
- Helps the rehabilitation department make sure everything is done correctly and helps the staff get better.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
- Must have a Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or
- Must have a Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; or
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy.
- Additionally, the Director of Rehab PT must have three years direct patient care experience and one year of management experience.
- A thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing is also required.
