Lead transformative community programs that strengthen youth, families, and neighborhoods across Yonkers. Job Description The Senior Director of Programs serves as a key member of the YMCA of Yonkers executive leadership team, providing strategic oversight for youth development, member services, violence prevention, workforce development, wellness, supportive services, and reentry initiatives. Working closely with the President & CEO, this role leads organizational planning, strengthens cross-functional collaboration, supports program leaders, and ensures high-quality, mission-driven services that improve outcomes for youth, families, and communities throughout Yonkers. Qualifications Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or a related field required.Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership or management experience.Demonstrated experience overseeing programs, multidisciplinary teams, and cross-functional initiatives.Strong experience managing complex operations and multiple organizational priorities.Experience within nonprofit, community-based, government-funded, or mission-driven organizations strongly preferred.Experience with government contracts, grants, compliance, and performance management preferred.Familiarity with youth development, workforce development, violence prevention, reentry services, behavioral health, or trauma-informed programming strongly preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.Experience supervising staff and developing high-performing teams.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Essential Functions Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the President & CEO.Provide executive oversight for YMCA programs and community-based initiatives.Supervise program directors, managers, and senior leadership across multiple departments.Lead organizational planning, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.Oversee youth development, afterschool, summer camp, teen services, violence prevention, workforce development, wellness, supportive services, and reentry programming.Ensure program quality, operational excellence, compliance, and alignment with organizational priorities.Develop and strengthen partnerships with government agencies, funders, and community organizations.Oversee grant-funded initiatives, program reporting, and performance outcomes.Support fundraising efforts, organizational growth, and continuous quality improvement.Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and mission-driven leadership.Support Board relations, executive communications, and strategic planning initiatives.Represent the YMCA in community partnerships, meetings, and collaborative initiatives as assigned.
