About the role

The Senior Director of Program Services (SDPS) at Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) works with the Executive Director and management team members as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families, membership, and the public/private agencies served by the non-profit.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Executive Director and management team members as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families, membership, and the public/private agencies served by the non-profit.
  • Assumes the functions of the Executive Director in their absence.
  • Maintain work relationships among all levels of the organization, individuals served, families, and other providers or services in a professional manner.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
  • Willing and able to complete all essential responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields such as health, education, welfare, business, hospital administration or special education.
  • At least four years experience in one of the following or related fields: education, social work, sociology, vocational, residential rehabilitiation, developmental disabilities.
  • At least five years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Experience in not for profit agencies a nice to have.
  • Accounting and financial experience.
  • Experience in human resources, community organization, public relations, program implementation/planning and fundraising.

Skills

  • Organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and people skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and with team members.
  • Strong oral, written and listening skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of technology and willingness to learn.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with some flexibility required).
