Senior Director of Product & Technology (Volunteer)

About the role

The Senior Director of Product & Technology serves as a senior technology leader responsible for translating organizational strategy into innovative digital products, scalable technology solutions, and high-performing engineering initiatives. This role oversees product strategy, product delivery, software development, technology operations, and cross-functional execution while ensuring technology investments align with organizational priorities.

This role works closely with engineering, product management, cybersecurity, operations, research, and executive leadership, helping shape MAP's long-term technology vision and product portfolio.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technology executive with expertise in product management, software development, agile delivery, organizational leadership, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute MAP's product strategy and technology roadmap
• Translate organizational priorities into scalable digital solutions
• Promote user-centered product development
• Provide leadership across engineering, product management, and technology operations
• Support delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable technology platforms
• Strengthen software development standards and engineering excellence
• Promote modern technology practices and continuous improvement
• Foster innovation and technical leadership
• Oversee the product lifecycle from discovery through launch and continuous improvement
• Support agile planning, roadmap management, and product prioritization
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of technology initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives
• Promote data-informed product decisions
• Lead digital transformation initiatives across the organization
• Evaluate emerging technologies that advance MAP's mission
• Support automation, AI, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Improve technology adoption and organizational effectiveness
• Drive continuous innovation across PromiseStack
• Partner with PromiseShield to ensure secure product development
• Collaborate with PromiseOperations on enterprise technology initiatives
• Support PromiseLearning and PromisePrograms with educational technology solutions
• Work with PromiseResearch on technology-enabled research initiatives
• Align product and technology strategy with organizational priorities

Qualifications

• Experience in product management, software engineering, technology leadership, digital transformation, or related fields
• Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies and agile delivery
• Experience leading cross-functional technology teams
• Strong strategic planning and organizational leadership skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
