Senior Director of Product Management – Private Cloud Orchestrator (PCO)
About the role
This role is a 'Hybrid' position with an expectation of working 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Private Cloud control plane and shared services
- Define and drive common capabilities across sovereign, security, workload-as-a-service (aaS), and Edge offerings
- Align cross-functionally with engineering, go-to-market (GTM), and adjacent product teams
- Deliver executive-ready materials and reviews with minimal iteration
- Use AI tools and agents to accelerate research, analysis, and decision-making
- Set teams' standards and operational metrics across all portfolios to align with the business unit's strategic goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 18+ years of work experience in related field (12+ years in product management, 5+ years leading platform or infrastructure products at scale)
- Proven ability to define and execute a business strategy that drives operational excellence & profitability
- Direct experience with ITOM/ITIL frameworks and enterprise IT governance
- Experience in cloud workflows, automation, and integration
- Background in enterprise private cloud, hybrid cloud, or infrastructure as a service
- Demonstrated daily use of AI tools in professional workflow
- Strong preference for exposure and experience with Dell, Nutanix, VMware, ServiceNow, AWS, and Azure products and solutions
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product-specific technical training to the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field
- MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred
Skills
- Recognized industry leader for team and people management skills, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects
- Recognized industry leader for skills in cost-efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis
- Recognized industry leader for knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product-specific technical training to the team
