About the role
This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Responsibilities
- Own unified Private Cloud Edge strategy and roadmap across all deployment models and verticals.
- Define use case driven solutions spanning AI inferencing at the edge, OT/IT convergence, and distributed workloads.
- Drive alignment across compute, networking, storage, and enterprise hybrid software teams to deliver one coherent Edge strategy.
- Partner with sales, field engineering, and channel to validate priorities and accelerate pipeline.
- Build and scale a focused, high quality PM team for Edge.
- Deliver executive ready materials and reviews with minimal iteration.
- Provides guiding principles for and defines value proposition, customer segmentation, and business case to bring innovative and disruptive business unit products to the market.
- (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/margins, financials, market share).
- Drives integration of the product portfolios lifecycles to business unit goals across all phases of the product portfolio and business unit lifecycle (e.g. planning, development, launch, management, exit).
- Sets teams standards and operational metrics across all portfolios to align with the business unit's strategic goals (ie: revenue unit/margins, market share, quality performance, channel route to market, quarterly financials and on time to delivery).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study.
- MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
- 18+ years of work experience in related field. (10+ years in product management, 5+ years in edge, IoT, distributed infrastructure, or related product domains).
- 7+ years of experience in progressive leadership related to product management.
- Experience managing products deployed across thousands of remote or distributed sites.
- Track record of defining and executing use case driven GTM strategies across multiple verticals.
- Familiarity with connected, disconnected, and air gapped deployment models.
- Demonstrated daily use of AI tools in professional workflow.

- Edge and Distributed Infrastructure Expertise: Deep understanding of edge computing architectures, disconnected and air gapped operations, fleet management at scale, and the unique constraints of remote site deployments.
- AI Native Product Leadership: Uses AI tools daily to accelerate research, analysis, and communication. Designs products with AI as a core capability.
- Executive Communication and Presence: Produces decision oriented materials for senior leadership with minimal revision. Engages credibly in executive forums without extensive pre wires.
- Use Case and Vertical Orientation: Experience defining solutions around specific customer use cases and industry verticals rather than generic platform capabilities. Understands how to narrow scope and prioritize for impact.
- Broad Technical Depth: Systems level understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, and AI/ML. Sees broadly across products and GTM. Uses AI to go deeper as needed.
- Cross Functional Leadership: Aligns engineering, GTM, and operations in a matrixed environment. Forces decisions and builds credibility quickly.
- Commercial Acumen: Connects product decisions to revenue, pricing, and competitive positioning.
- Technical SME: Understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.

Pay
The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
- United States of America: Annual Salary USD 189,000 - 377,000 in Colorado // 204,000 - 408,000 in Massachusetts // 204,000 - 434,000 in California // 179,500 - 434,000 in North Carolina & Texas
