Robert Half is seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Finance to help steer the future of our client's organization based in the Philadelphia area. As a key partner to the executive team, you’ll influence high-level business decisions, drive financial strategy, and build the scalable infrastructure needed to support continued growth.

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on, forward-thinking professional with experience in high-growth consumer products who thrives in fast-paced environments, turns data into actionable insights, and plays a pivotal role in capital planning, operational excellence, and long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the executive team to influence company direction through financial insight, scenario planning, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning, including integrated modeling across income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Present business performance, financial trends, and strategic guidance to board members, investors, and lending partners.
  • Direct fundraising and financing efforts by preparing financial models, diligence materials, lender packages, and other decision-support documentation.
  • Oversee core finance and accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and a strong internal control environment.
  • Strengthen cash management, profitability analysis, and working capital planning to improve liquidity and support growth initiatives.
  • Create dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools that improve visibility and accountability across sales, operations, supply chain, marketing, procurement, and product teams.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operational leaders on pricing, promotions, inventory strategy, sourcing choices, and manufacturing economics.
  • Build and mentor a scalable finance and accounting organization while continuously improving processes, systems, and reporting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years progressive experience within the Consumer Goods Industry.
  • Strong background in CPG accounting and finance, with a clear understanding of margin structure, inventory flows, and costing.
  • Proficient in accounting software (NetSuite) and advanced in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence.
