About the role
The Senior Director of Finance is joining FSI Facility Services, Inc., a premier services company serving military bases, hospitals, research facilities, and specialty buildings across the United States, Alaska, and internationally. Responsibilities
- Direct the timely preparation of all financial statements for the organization and related entities, as well as governmental agency oversight of Sox Compliance.
- Align with shareholder reporting requirements, managing month end, quarter end, year end, and ad hoc processes.
- Supervise all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, including DCAA, DCMA, FAR, and CAS.
- Work closely with the President and CEO to manage banking relationships and treasury functions, including cash flow projections, to ensure adequate funds for the corporation's needs.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks, developing plans and programs to minimize and contain risk exposures.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets in line with business and financial strategy, identifying variances and developing appropriate action plans with the Executive Team.
- Prepare operational and financial reports, KPI metrics, and analysis, providing recommendations to improve margins.
- Supervise payroll for over 600 employees across multiple states with various union contracts, ensuring compliance with SCA and DBA wage requirements.
- Update and implement the Company’s accounting and financial policies and procedures, overseeing internal controls and audits.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and reporting, working with joint ventures and other partners.
- Negotiate benefits, liability, and property insurance, and union agreements, overseeing the control environment to ensure Sox Compliance.
- Align with shareholder reporting requirements, managing month end, quarter end, year end, and ad hoc processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- CPA license required.
- Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years of managerial accounting experience in a senior position.
- Minimum of 3 years of Federal Government contracting experience.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with accounting and forecasting systems.
- Joint Venture experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
