Senior Director of Customs and Trade Compliance

About the role

Serve (or progress to serve) as the company's Licensed Customs Broker of Record
Ensure compliance with CBP, PGA, import/export regulations, HTS classification, and AD/CVD
Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams and future leaders
Champion AI, automation, and technology-driven solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and audit readiness
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, and IT
Act as executive, client-facing authority on customs and regulatory matters

Responsibilities

• Serve (or progress to serve) as the company's Licensed Customs Broker of Record
• Ensure compliance with CBP, PGA, import/export regulations, HTS classification, and AD/CVD
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams and future leaders
• Champion AI, automation, and technology-driven solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and audit readiness
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, and IT
• Act as executive, client-facing authority on customs and regulatory matters

Requirements

• Active U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) – required
• 10+ years in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or international logistics
• 5+ years of people leadership experience
• Deep knowledge of HTS, ADD/CVD, PGA filings, audits, and enforcement actions
• Experience with CargoWise, ACE, automated classification, OCR, or AI-enabled workflows (a plus)
