Senior Director, Medical Affairs - Oncology

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Medical Affairs - Oncology to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. In this remote leadership role, you will guide a field-based medical affairs team focused on oncology, ensuring strong execution of disease state support plans and consistent scientific engagement across the organization. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop resources, coach team members, and maintain high standards for performance, compliance, and field excellence. This position plays a key role in translating medical strategy into effective execution while supporting organizational growth and customer engagement in a highly regulated environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $210,400 – $331,100 annually Responsibilities Recruit and manage a team of field-based medical professionals Conduct performance assessments through field observations and feedback Communicate and execute oncology disease state support plans Coordinate resource development for team and individual growth Ensure compliance with company policies and driver safety in the field Support project management for oncology disease support plans Qualifications MD, PharmD, or PhD with leadership experience in scientific or medical roles Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry Ability to organize and motivate a team in a dynamic environment Previous oncology experience is essential Minimum of three years in a field-based medical role with customer engagement expertise Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and families Retirement benefits including 401(k) Paid holidays, vacation, and sick days Access to annual bonuses and long-term incentives Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
