Senior Director, Marketing Communications

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Marketing Communications to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This leader will shape the global communications strategy for a fast-moving technology organization, strengthening brand visibility and protecting reputation across key markets. The role will partner closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is aligned, consistent, and responsive to business needs. It will also guide media engagement, crisis preparation, and digital channel strategy while leading a team of communications professionals.

Location: San Francisco, CA (US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available). Compensation: $230,000 – $280,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a global communications strategy aligned with enterprise objectives
• Build relationships with leading technology journalists to enhance brand visibility
• Develop response frameworks for crisis management
• Oversee corporate digital and social media channels to increase engagement
• Establish KPIs and metrics to measure impact and sentiment
• Provide media coaching and support to C-suite executives
• Lead and mentor a team of communications specialists

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in global communications or public relations within a high-growth technology environment
• Proven ability to develop and implement multi-channel communication strategies
• Strong relationships with top-tier technology journalists and industry influencers
• Expertise in crisis management and safeguarding corporate reputation
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
