Senior Director, Leadership and Management Development
About the role
The Senior Director, Leadership and Management Development will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise leadership and manager development solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and facilitate programs, learning journeys, workshops, and experiences that build leadership and manager capability.
- Partner with senior leaders, People team, and key stakeholders to assess needs and identify opportunities to strengthen leadership effectiveness.
- Develop frameworks, pathways, and development approaches that support leadership readiness, succession planning, and talent mobility.
- Lead the evolution of manager development solutions, using AI, to help managers lead teams effectively, drive performance, and foster engagement.
- Use data, feedback, and business insights to assess impact and continuously improve leadership development offerings.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, modern, inclusive, and aligned with BNY’s culture and strategic priorities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team and manage external partners as needed.
- Stay informed on external trends, market practices, and emerging approaches in leadership and management development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience in leadership development, talent development, organizational development, learning strategy, or a related field.
- Experience designing, leading, and scaling leadership and management development solutions in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to connect development priorities to business outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams and managing large-scale initiatives with measurable impact.
- Strong communication, facilitation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of leadership development practices, adult learning principles, and talent strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to evaluate effectiveness and guide decision-making.
- Experience using AI to support solutions and interventions.
