Responsibilities

  • Accountable for a high-performing network infrastructure company-wide, including planning and management of voice communications, advanced customer experience/contact center technologies, routing and switching, Software Defined Networking, local and Wide Area Networking, business continuity, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with the AVP IT Operations and other technology leaders to develop strategic and tactical solution plans for IT, particularly HSS’s future technology infrastructure.
  • Conduct strategic and tactical planning with IT peers to develop a technical roadmap and ensure delivery of supportable technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Partner with the AVP IT Operations and IT Leadership Team to modernize the organizational structure and business processes to support growth in an increasingly digital world.
  • Manage the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, including cloud, software-defined networking, network security, remote access, load balancers, and collaboration technologies.
  • Ensure cost-effective design, development, integration, implementation, testing, and maintenance of new services, equipment, and systems in support of business objectives.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing network infrastructure engineering and operations team to ensure reliable delivery of IT services.
  • Build strong links between network teams and other functions to create multidisciplinary teams and remove silos.
  • Drive a collaborative culture valuing technical depth, accountability, and customer service.
  • Establish, maintain, and execute operations procedures leveraging efficiencies and best practices.
  • Oversee service management activities, including change and release management, testing, quality assurance, and end-to-end technical integration.
  • Oversee infrastructure investments in collaboration with team members, senior management, and partners.
  • Oversee cybersecurity protections on all network infrastructure resources according to policies and standards established by the information security function/CISO.
  • Drive the delivery of major technology and infrastructure projects and service management improvements, ensuring quality, productivity, and ROI goals are achieved.
  • Implement and maintain controls and monitoring procedures to ensure availability of critical systems and minimal service interruptions.
  • Develop a vendor management process to optimize utilization, ensure a best-fit vendor mix, and deliver demonstrable savings.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership positions with an emphasis on infrastructure services.
  • Strong technical background as a data and/or voice network engineer.
  • 7-10 years of experience leading, directing, and controlling a complex, highly technical network operation or organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies and the ability to apply them to business needs.
  • Track record of working collaboratively and productively with business partners.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure system architecture and technology life cycle management.
  • Expertise in cloud computing, cloud operations, and IaaS (public and private cloud).
  • Proficiency in networking, storage infrastructure, and technology-based security practices.
  • Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring.

Pay

The base pay scale for this position is $169,000.00 - $257,875.00. The salary of the finalist will be determined based on factors including scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and Fair Market Value evaluation. This position is also eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role.
