Senior Director, Infection Prevention, Infection Prevention & Control, Full time, Days

About the role

The Senior Director of Infection Prevention oversees the strategic, operational, human resource, quality and financial management and oversight of the Infection Prevention across Jackson Health System, including inpatient, ambulatory services, nursing homes and corrections health.

Responsibilities

• Assures the Infection Prevention and Employee Health plans are consistent with district and pavilion plans and support attainment of district and pavilion goals.
• Acts on legislation, national policies, and guidance and assess their impact.
• Acts as advocate for patients, staff, and families by directing the implementation of effective plans, policies, procedures, mission, and vision within the Infection Prevention Program.
• Makes recommendations regarding construction, renovation, environmental rounds, and assures compliance with national and/or professional standards.
• Ensures effective surveillance systems are in place with timely feedback to clinical services.
• Facilitates implementation of change. Supports innovation. Facilitates staff participation in the systematic, interdisciplinary, and on-going evaluation of programs, processes, and desired patient-centered outcomes.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver patient/customer services that meet or exceed patient expectations.

Qualifications

• Generally requires 7 to 10 years of related experience.
• Management experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• Master's degree is strongly preferred.
• Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
