Position Overview

As part of the talented Brunswick Boat Group Human Resources team, the Senior Director, Human Resources serves as the senior HR leader for the Aluminum Boat Group (ABG), supporting a multi-site manufacturing footprint across the United States and Canada.

Scope of Responsibility

  • Provides senior HR leadership across ABG’s manufacturing and business locations, including: Princecraft (Canada), Lund Boats (New York Mills, MN; Wilmar, MN; and Canada), Crestliner (New York Mills, MN; Wilmar, MN), Lowe Boats (Lebanon, MO), Thunder Jet Boats (Clarkston, WA), Harris Pontoons (Fort Wayne, IN).
  • Partners directly with the President of ABG, operations leadership, and site HR leaders to drive consistent, practical, and compliant execution across all locations.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to the ABG senior leadership team.
  • Represents ABG within BBG-wide HR priorities and initiatives.

Key Areas of Impact

  • Business & Leadership Partnership: Serve as the senior HR partner to ABG leadership, providing counsel on labor strategy, organizational effectiveness, and workforce decisions.
  • Talent & Leadership: Lead and oversee all talent management processes across ABG, including performance management, development, and succession planning for critical roles.
  • Workforce & Strategic Staffing: Drive workforce planning aligned to production demand, skill availability, and business changes; lead strategic staffing initiatives across ABG to ensure the right talent is in place across sites and functions; ensure robust succession planning strategies are in place for key roles across the organization.
  • Labor Relations: Own labor relations strategy and execution, including union partnership, bargaining support, contract administration, and grievance management for ABG’s unionized locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant experience supporting manufacturing environments with hourly populations.
  • Broad HR expertise across employee relations, labor relations, talent management, compensation, compliance, and organizational development.
  • Experience supporting multi-site and global organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and operate as a credible strategic business partner.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, or similar systems.
  • Valid passport or ability and willingness to obtain a passport for international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience supporting unionized manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading HR strategy across geographically dispersed operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change and workforce transformation initiatives.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar HR certification.
