Job Responsibilities
- Lead and guide teams for seamless execution of patient and HCP access interactions, ensuring alignment with field reimbursement teams.
- Coaches & develops all Director & Manager level Department members by working with Sales training teams and vendor partners to establish various skill set training programs specific to the roles.
- Makes sure FRM territory efficiencies are optimized to improve each FRM's productivity. Works with Commercial Operations to adjust territories as needed or realign them nationally if necessary.
- Ensures strategic alignment and collaboration between Patient Access Support and cross-functional market access stakeholders to understand access trends and enhance execution.
- Monitors market trends to shape strategies for patient access and collaborates with internal stakeholders (marketing, sales) to overcome reimbursement barriers to drive business while developing strategic solutions with Business Unit Heads to ensure consistent patient access to therapies.
- Ensures smooth connectivity between field reimbursement teams and internal/external hubs, while advising on program feasibility.
- Develops and executes strategies, tactics, and training for a field-based organization, partnering with legal and compliance to ensure program adherence to new laws and regulations.
- Leads without authority and generates momentum as a matrix leader across multiple therapies.
- Demonstrates high performance and the ability to lead through others to achieve desired organizational outcomes.
- Pairs with legal and compliance departments to ensure all field activities adhere to regulations.
- Oversees efforts to educate HCPs and their corresponding staff on payer policies, Specialty Pharmacies, and in-office dispensing.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
- MBA preferred, but not required
- 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or other related experience
- 10+ years of experience leading field-based teams at various levels, including field leaders, and leaders of leaders.
- 7+ years in reimbursement coverage, coding, or market access.
- Proficiency in access and reimbursement, or learning agility to understand coverage, coding, payment, distribution, and reimbursement regulations.
- Understanding of reimbursement policies related to Buy and Bill and Biologics is preferred.
- Experience across one or multiple therapeutic categories including Dermatology, Immunology, Oncology, and Ophthalmology is preferred.
Pay
The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $232,500 to $284,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Schedule
This is a field based role located in the United States and requires up to 50% travel per month.
