Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs, GI Oncology

About the role

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Global Medical Affairs strategy and tactical plans
• Create and implement a Health Care Professional engagement strategy for insights gathering
• Act as the medical representative on cross-functional teams
• Serve as a therapeutic area content expert
• Lead the Global Medical Affairs Team in executing medical strategies and pre-launch activities
• Conduct routine gap assessments to refine publication strategies and evidence plans
• Engage with key external stakeholders through discussions and advisory boards

Qualifications

• Advanced doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO or equivalent) required
• 15+ years of experience in Medical Affairs within biotech/pharma, preferably in oncology
• Strong scientific knowledge in oncology; experience in GI cancers preferred
• Direct experience executing medical affairs functions (training, communications, etc.)
• Proven clinical trial support experience, including protocol development and enrollment support
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex scientific data to diverse audiences
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision

Pay

$232,000 – $290,000 annually
