About the role

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is seeking a dynamic executive leader to establish and oversee the Forensic Services Division. This leader will be responsible for providing forensic competency restoration services to the state's most vulnerable population.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee the Forensic Services Division
  • Provide oversight and management of applicable legal requirements
  • Oversight and management of competency evaluation and restoration treatment services
  • Develop and implement division policy and practices to ensure timely completion of services
  • Maintain operations to meet timeliness standards required by the courts, state law, and the Consent Decree
  • Navigate and leverage existing relationships with stakeholders while seeking new partnerships
  • Assess organizational needs and develop and implement continuous process improvement measures

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in psychology, board certification in psychiatry, or other relevant advanced degree such as public administration or hospital administration
  • Five (5) years of experience in a forensic mental health organization with successful performance at increasingly challenging levels
  • Large-scale budget oversight and three years of management experience of complex systems

Qualifications

  • Strong executive level experience providing oversight and coordination of adult forensic evaluation services on a wide scale
  • Successful experience providing strategic guidance and decision making with long-term impact in changing business and political environments
  • Demonstrated ability to assess organizational needs and to develop and implement continuous process improvement measures and activities to meet those needs

Annual Salary: Commensurate based on education, experience, and overall qualifications
