About the role
The Senior Director of Field Performance serves as a key leader responsible for driving sales execution, revenue growth, operational excellence, performance improvement, and leadership effectiveness across the field organization. This role provides operational and day-to-day management for the company's Field Performance and Improvement Program, ensuring underperforming centers achieve sustainable improvements in operational, financial, and patient experience metrics.
In partnership with leadership and other cross-functional teams, the Senior Director of Field Performance executes and drives adoption of performance acceleration strategies, identifies systemic opportunities for improvement, and drives accountability throughout the field organization. This leader also plays a critical role in the training, development, and ongoing effectiveness of Regional Business Directors (RBDs), strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring consistency in performance management practices across the network.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, operational leadership experience, coaching expertise, and a proven ability to influence outcomes in a multi-site healthcare or service environment.
Responsibilities
- Directly oversee a team of field performance leaders.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of network performance improvement programs, including center selection, performance monitoring, intervention planning, and graduation criteria.
- Support the development and execution of initiatives designed to improve performance across key sales, operational, financial, and patient experience metrics.
- Partner with Regional Business Directors, Center leaders, and cross-functional teams to implement targeted improvement strategies.
- Monitor program effectiveness and recommend enhancements to methodology, performance targets, and accountability structures.
- Analyze performance data and trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring additional support.
- Build and execute tailored action plans to accelerate business performance.
- Maintain performance benchmarks, monitoring mechanisms, and success metrics.
- Ensure sustainable performance gains through effective coaching, follow-up, and accountability processes.
- Partner with Field Leadership to onboard, train, and coach Regional Business Directors, regularly assessing developmental gaps and implementing targeted coaching plans as needed.
- Support development programs focused on operational excellence, business acumen, performance management, and coaching effectiveness to enhance leadership skillset and consistency across all regions.
- Support the development of tools, resources, and best practices to improve leadership consistency across regions.
- Mentor Regional Business Directors and emerging field leaders.
- Partner with and provide coaching to RBDs in performance management.
- Support the implementation and day-to-day execution of new performance strategies.
- Create processes and employ effective change management tactics that drive initiative adoption and execution.
- Monitor performance, identify barriers, and coordinate cross-functional solutions.
- Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to provide recommendations to support strategic decision making.
- Role scope will evolve based on business needs.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, or a closely related field (e.g., Organizational Leadership, Health Sciences).
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site operations, field leadership, business performance, or operational excellence roles.
- 5+ years of experience leading performance improvement initiatives across multiple locations or regions.
- Demonstrated success driving operational and financial results through coaching and leadership development.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive influence skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50-75%, as needed).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related discipline).
- Experience in healthcare, dental, medical services, or other multi-unit service organizations.
- Experience developing leadership training programs and succession planning initiatives.
- Knowledge of performance management systems, operational metrics, and business analytics.

Pay
Annual pay range: $155,000 - $170,000, plus bonus/incentives.
