Senior Director / Executive Director, Site Activation & Patient Service
About the role
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on commercial leader to build the capabilities that ensure every eligible patient can access NXC-201 quickly, reliably, and seamlessly. At Immix, we are developing NXC-201, a differentiated BCMA-directed CAR-T therapy with Breakthrough Therapy designation with lead indication in relapsed/refractory AL amyloidosis. As we advance toward anticipated US launch in 2027, we are building the commercial capabilities required to bring this transformative therapy to patients with significant unmet need. This is a rare opportunity to build one of the most critical capabilities for a successful CAR-T launch.
Responsibilities
- Enable Treatment Centers to Deliver NXC-201
- Develop and execute the strategy for activating US Authorized Treatment Centers (ATCs)
- Design the site activation operating model, playbooks, readiness criteria, success metrics, and continuous improvement processes
- Partner with Sales Leadership to develop the field engagement model and drive consistent execution across the commercial organization
- Collaborate directly with Medical Affairs to coordinate treatment center engagement while maintaining appropriate functional roles
- Collaborate directly with Legal to prepare agreements, coordinate review of contract redlines, negotiate business terms, and facilitate timely execution
- Lead cross-functional efforts to identify and remove barriers to treatment center readiness while continuously improving the activation experience
- Create an Exceptional Provider & Patient Experience
- Define the strategy for provider services, patient support, and treatment center experience
- Lead the strategic relationship with patient support program (PSP) hub partner
- Help shape the end-to-end treatment journey to ensure operational processes integrate seamlessly into treatment center workflows
- Serve as the voice of treatment centers, providers, patients, and caregivers across cross-functional planning and decision-making
- Continuously improve the provider and patient experience through operational excellence, customer insights, and strong external partnerships
- Lead Strategic Partnerships
- Lead the strategic relationship with Specialty Distribution / 3PL partner and other critical external cell orchestration service providers
- Help define the operating model, governance, and performance expectations for strategic partners supporting commercialization
- Partner across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Quality, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and external partners to ensure a coordinated, reliable treatment journey
- Influence cross-functional decisions that improve operational execution while maintaining unwavering focus on ATC, provider, patient, and caregiver needs
- Drive Launch Readiness
- Develop the capabilities, tools, and metrics required to support a successful launch
- Identify operational risks early and lead cross-functional mitigation planning
- Help shape the long-term strategy for expanding treatment center network and supporting commercial growth following launch
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD or equivalent) preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience within the biopharmaceutical industry
- Direct, hands-on experience leading or supporting site activation for an autologous CAR-T launch required
- Experience supporting commercial launch of cell therapies in hematology/oncology strongly preferred
- Experience working directly with ATCs
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives and managing strategic external partners
- Experience in emerging biotechnology or launch-stage organizations preferred
- Deep understanding of autologous CAR-T treatment workflows and treatment center operations
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments
- Prominent ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Strong customer orientation with a deep appreciation for provider, patient, and caregiver experience
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- High degree of ownership, initiative, accountability, and intellectual curiosity
