Accountabilities

  • Define and continuously evolve enterprise architecture strategy, principles, standards, policies, guardrails, reference architectures, and target-state direction in partnership with technology executives and architecture leaders.
  • Establish and maintain effective architecture governance practices that promote consistent, scalable, secure, and value-driven technology decisions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations that align technology choices with business objectives, risk tolerance, operational requirements, and long-term enterprise strategy.
  • Partner with senior business and technology leaders to evaluate priorities, shape technology direction, and support enterprise transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Aggregate technology plans across business units and domains, assess enterprise-wide alignment, identify overlaps and gaps, and develop architecture-informed recommendations.
  • Facilitate collaboration across architecture, engineering, security, data, infrastructure, cloud, AI, and application teams to ensure integrated technology solutions.
  • Assess enterprise technology roadmaps and identify opportunities to increase business value, reduce risk, improve capabilities, and optimize technology investments.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for transition and target-state architecture roadmaps, including modernization initiatives designed to achieve strategic business outcomes.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, market developments, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and inform long-term technology planning.
  • Communicate architecture vision, priorities, recommendations, risks, and strategic trade-offs clearly to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Build and develop architecture talent through coaching, performance management, capability development, and communities of practice.
  • Promote continuous improvement by using metrics, stakeholder feedback, and delivery outcomes to strengthen architecture practices and governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, with additional relevant experience in the functional area.
  • At least 6 years of management experience, including responsibilities for hiring, developing, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports.
  • Deep technology expertise and demonstrated ability to establish and mature enterprise architecture strategies, standards, principles, policies, guardrails, reference architectures, and target-state roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding across multiple technology domains, including integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, AI, security, and custom application architecture.
  • Proven ability to synthesize business-unit and domain technology strategies into a cohesive enterprise view, identifying dependencies, gaps, overlaps, risks, and opportunities.
  • Experience balancing enterprise architecture governance and standards with delivery speed, business priorities, innovation, and practical implementation constraints.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture strategy, technology governance, roadmap development, modernization, and technology investment planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at the enterprise level and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technology concepts and strategic recommendations to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and sound independent judgment.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, build consensus, manage competing priorities, and foster collaborative relationships across diverse technical teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through measurable outcomes, feedback, and data-driven decision-making.
  • For remote work, a high level of engagement in virtual environments is expected, including maintaining camera presence during meetings when appropriate to support communication and team alignment.

  • Salary range: $126,000–$191,625 USD, with actual compensation determined by experience and other job-related factors.
