Senior Director, Device Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own a device product lane from concept to end-of-life
• Serve as the technical systems owner across multiple engineering domains
• Lead cross-functional execution across various departments and external partners
• Drive executive-level tradeoff decisions impacting design and performance
• Oversee product planning, risk management, and milestone delivery
• Collaborate with suppliers to deliver quality devices at scale
• Enhance manufacturing processes including diagnostics and production testing
• Lead root-cause investigations across different systems and data sources
• Utilize AI and automation for improved engineering and operational efficiency
• Mentor engineers and enhance team capabilities for device development

Qualifications

• 12+ years developing connected hardware or medical devices from concept to commercialization
• Strong embedded systems, electronics, and systems engineering expertise
• Proficient in connected device development including manufacturing validation and field performance
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and engineering partners
• Strong program leadership and executive communication skills
• Experience in regulated environments, particularly in medical device or digital health sectors
• Ability to build scalable device platforms rather than isolated products
