Senior Director, Development Major Gifts

About the role

The Senior Director, Development Major Gifts is responsible for leading the major gifts fundraising strategy, cultivating relationships with high-net-worth donors, and securing significant contributions to support the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts fundraising plan
• Cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth donors
• Secure significant contributions from individual donors
• Collaborate with other departments to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals
• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in development or fundraising
• Proven track record of securing major gifts
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising principles
• Experience working with major gift prospects and donors
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

• Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
