About the role
The Senior Director, Development Major Gifts is responsible for leading the major gifts fundraising strategy, cultivating relationships with high-net-worth donors, and securing significant contributions to support the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts fundraising plan
- Cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth donors
- Secure significant contributions from individual donors
- Collaborate with other departments to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals
- Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in development or fundraising
- Proven track record of securing major gifts
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising principles
- Experience working with major gift prospects and donors
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage donor data and relationships

Pay
- Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
