About the role

Drive process optimization and operational transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery across payroll functions.

Partner with senior leadership across Finance, HR, IT, and Operations to align payroll strategy with evolving business objectives and organizational growth.

Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence.

Strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls by implementing best practices related to compliance, audit readiness, and SOX requirements.

Serve as a strategic problem solver and change leader, managing escalations, driving cross-functional solutions, and supporting payroll operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of payroll leadership experience within large, complex, multi-state organizations, with deep expertise in payroll compliance, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax requirements.
  • Prioritize - CPP designation and experience with enterprise payroll platforms, including Workday.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and superior service delivery.
  • Strategic business partner with a track record of influencing stakeholders across all levels of an organization, leading cross-functional initiatives, and driving transformational change.
  • Strong operational and analytical leader with experience optimizing processes, implementing technology solutions, managing complex escalations, and supporting scalable growth in dynamic environments.
