Job Duties

  • Spearheads the prioritization of critical products and features by evaluating business value, feasibility, and user needs, ensuring alignment with Oracle's goals and strategies.
  • Champions the engagement of key strategic customers, non-customers, partners and industry analysts to obtain market information and discover opportunities for critical product portfolio/product areas.
  • Develops advanced strategies to identify customer needs and market opportunities, guiding teams to develop highly complex solutions and validate them.
  • Advises team members and leads in maintaining the roadmap for multiple products/features, drives delivery excellence, and proactively fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Acts as an innovation leader across the Line of Business (LOB) and steers the comprehensive strategy and direction of products, leading initiatives and setting the long-term vision.
  • Advocates for the implementation of innovative methodologies for new feature development.
  • Champions the sharing of strategic insights with cross-functional partners and Lines of Business (LOB).

Team Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, external affairs, government relations, or a closely related field.
  • Proven success managing sensitive, high-visibility stakeholder environments.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, and issue management skills.
  • Experience working across multiple functions in fast-moving, complex organizations.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in hostile or high-pressure public settings.
  • Demonstrated skill in building trust with community leaders, public officials, and internal partners.

Product Analysis – Market Analysis

  • Spearheads the prioritization of critical products/features based on evaluations of business value, feasibility, and internal and/or external user needs.
  • Collaborates closely with key strategic customers to ensure seamless alignment between the customer, the market, internal stakeholders, and Oracle's goals and strategy.
  • Champions the engagement of key strategic customers, non-customers, partners, and industry analysts to obtain market information and discover opportunities for the critical product portfolio/product area.

Product Analysis – Solution Identification

  • Develops advanced strategies to identify customers’ unmet or unknown needs, market opportunities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Guides internal teams in developing problem statements for highly complex products and forming data-driven hypotheses to drive innovation in new products. Directs the rigorous evaluation and validation of different solutions to make informed decisions on product enhancements or new features.
  • Champions the creation and maintenance of critical and highly complex solution artifacts (e.g., regulatory requirements, functional and non-functional requirements).

Product Ownership – Product Development and Roadmapping

  • Provides thought leadership in the Line of Business’s (LOB) product lifecycle approach, setting industry standards for excellence.
  • Advises team members and leads in maintaining the roadmap for multiple products/features, ensuring alignment with Oracle’s vision and market needs.
  • Defines and refines feature requirements, resources, and best practices, fostering continuous improvement and empowering internal teams.
  • Champions partnerships with key stakeholders to drive delivery excellence, anticipating/managing risks and resolving highly complex issues.
  • Evaluates existing metrics (e.g., service requests, bugs, customer feedback, volumes) and market insights, steering strategic decision-making and optimizing product development in dynamic environments.
  • Ensures product quality by guiding and leading on the creation and review of user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Defines and prioritizes features or experiences in the roadmap, ensuring alignment with success criteria and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Product Ownership – Product Leadership and Influence

  • Acts as an innovation leader across the Line of Business (LOB), shaping and steering strategy, leading initiatives, and establishing long-term vision.
  • Provides thought leadership in product development to innovate customer experience and achieve business goals.
  • Advocates for and implements innovative methodologies for new feature development, leveraging agile and continuous delivery.
  • Champions the sharing of strategic insights with cross-functional partners and Lines of Business (LOB), fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Foresees and addresses potential pushback from stakeholders, leveraging expertise and data-driven arguments to drive consensus.
  • Leads collaboration with engineering, senior colleagues, and leadership to execute solutions tied to OKRs and KPIs.
  • Owns and strategizes initiatives to realize transformative business impact across LOBs, overseeing success criteria and performance metrics for multiple products/features.
  • Provides expert insights into user testing parameters, guiding product iteration and enhancement based on testing results.

Customer-Centricity

  • Provides strategic mentorship on meeting customer needs throughout the product lifecycle, anticipating and addressing complex needs.
  • Strategically engages key customers to gather in-depth feedback and conducts thorough research on their experiences with Oracle products and services.
  • Fosters partnerships with highly valued customers to align Oracle product capabilities with evolving business goals.
  • Leads initiatives to capture, analyze, and synthesize intricate customer requirements, innovating new capabilities and driving feature design.
  • Offers thought leadership on delivering exceptional value and exceeding customer expectations post-implementation.
  • Reviews and prioritizes critical and unique customer issues for resolution, partnering with development for innovative solutions.

Product Release – Go-to-Market

  • Champions the development of release overviews, presentations, and demos for the field team; provides strategic mentorship as needed.
  • Leads recruitment and support for key early adopters to validate and enhance product solutions.
  • Ensures creation of detailed user documentation, offering strategic oversight as needed.
  • Champions definition and tracking of key product metrics to monitor adoption for multiple portfolios, leveraging data for improvement.
  • Customizes product demonstrations for strategic customers, partners, analysts, and field, showcasing innovation and new release value.
