Senior Director, Biologics Platform Technologies Head

About the role

We're seeking a Senior Director, Biologics Platform Technologies Head to lead innovation in biologics manufacturing and support the advancement of transformative medicines. This role involves strategic leadership, innovation, team building, problem solving, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology transfers and define/implement biologics platform strategies.
• Drive lifecycle improvements for our biologics portfolio.
• Develop and industrialize new biologics platforms using digital tools and modeling.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of biologics SMEs.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve challenges related to biologics technology platforms.
• Collaborate with Site MSAT teams, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Establish and lead initiatives to improve product robustness, manufacturing performance, and subject matter expertise.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced leader with deep expertise in biologics manufacturing, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to excellence. Key responsibilities include leading technical teams across multiple geographies, developing new biologics platforms, and providing technical support.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific qualifications (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in chemical engineering, pharmacy, biochemistry, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience, including leading technical teams across multiple geographies.
• Expertise in biologics manufacturing platforms, technical transfers, process improvement, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Working knowledge of digital solutions and their application in biologics manufacturing.

• Experience leading platform technology teams or manufacturing groups.
• Ability to navigate complex global environments and work collaboratively across functions.
