Key Results (Year One)
- Increase social media followers by 25% across and engagement by 10% across X and Instagram accounts.
- Increase email subscribers by 25% and boost overall email open rates by 10% and click-through rates by 15%.
- Generate at least 50,000 digital actions across organizational advocacy campaigns through Quorum.
- Establish partnerships with at least twelve digital influencers to amplify campaign messaging.
Major Responsibilities
- Support the development and manage the execution of the organization’s digital program with the Executive Director, Chief Advocacy Officer, Chief Narrative Officer, Director of Marketing & Communications, and communications team.
- Lead the design vision and execution of the organization’s website and all campaign microsites, ensuring a sleek, sophisticated, and cutting-edge visual aesthetic; strong UX and accessibility standards; and clear narrative alignment across all digital properties.
- Strong graphic design skills, with the ability to apply organizational branding consistently across traditional campaign materials and digital platforms, and translate those assets into cohesive microsites and web-based advocacy tools.
- Establish and maintain high-quality visual and design standards across all digital outputs, including websites, campaign pages, social media assets, email templates, and advocacy materials, ensuring consistency with organizational brand and values.
- Manage digital organizing tools, helping program staff to drive digital actions in support of their campaigns.
- Manage social media efforts, working alongside others on the communications team to create, edit, publish, and share compelling content daily (e.g. original text, graphics, videos, and news); engaging with followers, partners, and other content; and responding to messages.
- Manage the email program to appropriately convey the organization’s story and work to its supporters in service of education, advocacy, and fundraising efforts.
- Manage SEO and Google Ads to maximize reach and engagement.
- Track and evaluate the efficacy of the digital program, recommending and implementing adjustments to strategy based on results.
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in digital organizing to recommend and implement new approaches.
Critical Factors for Success
- Sophisticated visual design and graphic communication skills, with the ability to independently produce polished, campaign-ready graphics and visual narratives.
- Robust CSS styling and web design skills, with the ability to customize, troubleshoot, and refine layouts and visual presentation across organizational websites.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and copyediting skills.
- Strong working knowledge of core digital tools and platforms, including Canva, Mailchimp, Quorum, Adobe Suite, Squarespace, and comparable software.
- Experience applying UX, accessibility, and inclusive design best practices to create culturally relevant digital campaigns, informed by meaningful collaboration with racially and economically diverse people, communities, and organizations.
- Experience in digital organizing, digital communications, or design-led advocacy work, with increasing ownership over digital strategy and execution.
- Experience using digital metrics and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, social media insights, email analytics, A/B testing, to make data-driven decisions and optimize digital strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
- The annual salary for the Senior Digital Associate is $82,000.
