Senior DHE Account Executive - Charlotte, NC
About the role
The Senior Account Executive - Headache drives strategic account engagement and performance within key centers of excellence and specialty practices, executing account-level business plans that optimize patient access, brand performance, and partnership with healthcare decision-makers.
Essential Functions
- Lead account-level strategy and execution for assigned centers of excellence, academic institutions, and specialty practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional coordination within each account, aligning resources from Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Patient Support Services.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with disease-state specialists, practice administrators, pharmacy directors, and integrated delivery network (IDN) stakeholders.
- Analyze account performance data to identify opportunities for growth, access challenges, and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of patient access and reimbursement solutions.
- Serve as an expert on local market dynamics, competitive landscape, and evolving healthcare system policies.
- Support pull-through of Market Access initiatives and ensure alignment with overall brand and organizational strategies.
- Champion compliant collaboration across all field teams to deliver coordinated, customer-focused solutions.
- Represent the voice of key customers internally to inform strategy, field execution, and resource deployment.
- Ensure full understanding of and adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, Amneal policies, Code of Conduct, privacy and data guidelines, and industry standards, including PDMA Guidelines.
- Leverage account and territory data to track performance, identify gaps, and adjust account plans; regularly report insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports for management as required to support performance tracking and decision-making.
- Actively participate and lead national, regional, and district meetings and training sessions, and represent the Client at relevant conventions or conferences when applicable.
- Serve as a mentor for Account Executives.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field - Required. Master Degree (MBA) - Preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience for candidates entering from outside the organization; 8 years of experience preferred. Internal Amneal candidates may qualify with 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, provided they demonstrate documented top-tier performance such as Circle of Excellence, President's Club, consistent Top 20% national ranking, or other verifiable indicators of exceptional and sustained performance. Understanding of the limited distribution Specialty Pharmacy model.
