Senior DevOps Engineer II

The Senior DevOps Engineer II role is integral to modernizing and maintaining the platform infrastructure to support growth and scalability. This position enables engineering teams to accelerate development velocity while ensuring system security and reliability, leading cloud migration efforts and developing tools that streamline engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate infrastructure management.
• Maintain existing infrastructure and lead migration to AWS.
• Create applications to improve engineering productivity, including AI‑integrated tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to design secure, highly available applications.
• Implement Spec Driven Development practices for specifications and AI workflows.
• Support and modernize WordPress‑based website and backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex environments.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call support on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

• 8+ years deploying and supporting scalable, high‑traffic web applications.
• 5 years experience with AWS serverless technologies including Cognito, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB.
• Proficient with Terraform or TypeScript and AWS CDK.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Linux/Unix shell, Python, Ruby.
• Experience with configuration management and deployment tools.
• Mastery of CI/CD pipelines using AWS native and third‑party tools.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and AWS multi‑account strategies.
• Experience integrating SCM, code quality, coverage, and testing tools into CI/CD.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and application monitoring tools.
• Experience with AWS cost forecasting.
• Practical experience with AI coding agents and agent‑driven workflows.
• Knowledge of Spec Driven Development for implementation and testing.
• Extensive experience or certification with AWS services: Serverless, CDK, CloudFormation/Terraform, CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, EventBridge, X‑Ray, CloudWatch, WAF, DataLake Formation.
• Experience with MySQL and Elasticsearch.
• AWS DevOps or Solution Architect certification preferred.
• Experience in consumer technology or automotive/e‑commerce industries preferred.
• Experience building AI‑integrated developer or DevOps tools preferred.
• Ability to work remotely from specified US states.

Pay

Base salary range is $133,000 to $150,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
