What you’ll do

  • Contribute to the DevOps team on-call rotation and internal tooling development to ensure platform stability.
  • Partner with AI teams to build out scalable infrastructure leveraging team best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Create and iteratively improve automation tooling centered around established team standards for IaC.
  • Participate in design consultations for the AI team to architect infrastructure for new services.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for infrastructure reliability and deployment patterns.
  • Collaborate across Engineering to identify bottlenecks in the developer experience and provide automated solutions.
  • Ensure infrastructure built out is production ready according to best practices around telemetry and observability as well as reliability

What success looks like in this role

  • Maintain 99.9% infrastructure uptime through the design and construction of highly available and reliable systems.
  • Reduce DevOps operational toil by implementing robust tooling and self-correcting automation.
  • Increase the self-serviceability of infrastructure, empowering engineering teams to deploy and manage resources independently through automation.
  • Standardize IaC patterns across AI initiatives to decrease time-to-market for new models and services.

What you’ll bring

  • Expertise in building highly available and reliable systems within AWS.
  • Working knowledge of best practices for deploying services using Azure and GCP APIs.
  • Proven track record of building custom automation tooling to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure fundamentals and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
  • Experience operating in a containerized environment (Kubernetes/EKS) is preferred.
  • A proactive approach to security and compliance within cloud environments is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in telemetry and observability best practices

Pay & Benefits

The target base salary range for this position is $159,100 - $191,000 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
