About the Role
Xactus is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take charge of our DevOps strategies and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in AWS DevOps, with the ability to create sophisticated CI/CD pipelines and automate a variety of development and testing activities. This role is hands-on and requires an expert-level understanding of the AWS ecosystem, with a strong capability to work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Immediate problem identification and remediation are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for a range of projects on AWS.
- Automate development, testing, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies.
- Oversee the management of AWS resources and ensure proper infrastructure setup for high availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Lead the charge on incident management and response, quickly addressing and remediating any issues that arise.
- Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in the resolution of outages.
- Keep up to date with the latest AWS services and best practices, implementing them to improve our services continually.
- Collaborate with the Chief Architect to align DevOps strategies with company goals.
- Guide and mentor team members, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and learning.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in DevOps roles, with a significant focus on AWS environments.
- Expertise in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
- Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
- Solid background in Linux/Unix administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to identify and prioritize immediate needs and issues effectively.
- AWS certifications are highly advantageous.
